Refinishing Floors

When considering refinishing hardwood floors, remove all rugs, furniture, and soft furnishings from the
area being worked upon. If you are planning any other projects such as painting, we recommend doing
this before you start on your new floor. When finishes are applied it is vital to have as little air flow in
the area as possible, as airborne particles are guaranteed to find their way onto your newly applied finish.

When undertaking any remodeling projects, hardwood floor refinishing should be scheduled at the very
end to insure no unnecessary damage is caused.

Keep the kids and pets away from your hard work until you have given it a chance to dry.
Depending on the finish used, furniture should not be placed back into the areas until it is safe to do so.
Our experienced finishers can give you a better idea as to when this should be done.

As with pre-finished hardwood floors the longevity and appearance can be dictated by the care given.
Using protective chair guides are recommended.
